We think books make a real difference to young children’s lives. Not only does reading and sharing stories support their language development but it can help children learn and understand so much about themselves and the world in which they live. Books can also help to soothe and calm even the most tired of children ….and adults! So if you do one thing each day for your child – make sure you read a book together.
Our Library
On admission to nursery we will be asking if you would like to join our Library and once registered parents and children are able to borrow books on a daily basis from the baskets of books in the main corridor.
Once a book has been selected it should be taken to Reception where a member of the office team will scan it for loan. Our books also include a selection for parents on young children’s learning and development.
We would like as many parents as possible to use our library as often as they wish. If you are interested and haven’t already joined please enquire at reception.
We also have some colourful Midland Road book bags to purchase (which are very popular with the children!) in which they proudly carry their books home.
