Accessibility
Disabled parking is very near to the entrance door.
During school hours our entrance gates are shut but not locked. If you would like assistance in opening the gates please phone Reception on 01274 546492.
Our entrance door has a sensor so opens automatically. To exit the building there is a push button.
A hearing loop is available at the Reception counter.
The building is on one level and has an accessible toilet and Baby Change unit.
The outdoor area has level access.
Our brochures are all available in large print on request.
We have a buggy store for those parents who walk to the school and we also have a cycle store for secure storage of cycles for anyone who cycles to the school.
Security
To ensure the safety and security of children and visitors we have a security system to control entry and exit to areas of the building. If you are a visitor you will be asked to sign in and identify yourself.
Railings secure the outdoor area.
We also have CCTV in place to help us monitor the exterior of the building.
Safety in the Car Park
At all times we ask parents to be vigilant in the car park, to hold their child’s hand and use the designated walkway.
The gates to the car park are open before 8.30am and after 4.30pm.
Car drivers are asked to use extreme caution in the playground and to be on the lookout for pedestrians especially children.
Parking
We have limited parking for visitors and request that parents park on Bateman Street, Thorncliffe Road or Midland Road where there is always lots of space.
Please do not block the cars parked at Ravat and Ray Dental Surgery on Bateman Street.
Parents are requested to not block the main gates by parking in front of the gates. Access is required at all times
