The Green Room

The Blue and Green Rooms are organised into clearly defined areas to accommodate different activities appropriate to the development, interest and capabilities of the children. These areas are divided by the use of low-level shelving that reduces distraction and allows children to become engrossed in their activities.

In these two rooms and outside OFSTED 2007 said ‘Teachers create the most exhilarating learning environments’ and ‘dedicated spaces house every aspect of learning, supported by children's work, beautifully displayed along with eye- catching models’

The Blue Room

Our Blue Room has more of the tactile exploratory provision such as sand, clay and paint that will give your child plenty of ‘hands on’ experience.

The snack and cooking area are also in the Blue Room.

Outside your child can play in a secure. attractive and exciting outdoor area.

A verandah area provides cover so that whatever the weather children can enjoy fresh air and physical activities. Waterproofs and wellies mean that children can experience different weather conditions.

Going Out

To supplement the nursery experience we organise a variety of visits out to extend children’s understanding of the world around them. Children are always accompanied by a qualified Paediatric First Aider. We go to places such as Central Library, Lister Park, Northcliffe Woods, St Ives, local shops and the Industrial Museum.
