Dear Parents and Carers,

A welcome to all the families and children who have joined us this term.

Eid

To all the families celebrating Eid we wish you a very happy Eid. On Thursday 24^th  September we’re having Eid parties.

There’ll be food in the Multi Purpose Room for Parents and Nursery School children will be having special party food in the nursery rooms.

• At 2 pm we have a Magician coming to the Blue Room for the children, followed by gifts for the children.
• Part Time morning children are welcome to join us at 2pm to see the Magician.

We’d welcome donations to help with the costs of gifts. Some parents are doing cooking for the Parents party. See Rahima Ali (Parental involvement worker) if you’d like to help.

Dates for Your Diary

Bookstart Week

October 5^th to the 9th is Bookstart week. The theme this year is Nursery Rhymes so you might like to help your child dress up as a Nursery Rhyme character on the 9^th October. Children will receive a Nursery rhyme book from Bookstart.

Parent Information Sessions 

What’s my Child Learning at Nursery?

Come and find out about the Early Years Foundation Stage. Mrs Dix and Mrs Ali will be running these sessions on Friday 16^th October at 1.15pm and on November 9^th at 9.15am in the Parents Room with Mrs Dix and Mrs Khan. Mrs Khan speaks Urdu and Mrs Ali speaks Bangla so will be able to translate if needed.

Parents Forum

Next meeting is on 19^th October. If you’ve any thoughts about how the school and centre runs or suggestions for improvements this is the place to share ideas with other parents and Centre staff. All welcome.  See Karen Wadsworth for more information.
