We are continuing to make visits to Manningham Library and parents are welcome to join us. The visits take place fortnightly during the morning .Please speak to your child’s teacher if you’d like to go along.
Following on from the popular experience the children had of visiting the Life Education Unit (Harold, the Giraffe`s Caravan!) a health workshop about how healthy food, sleep, and lifestyle can impact on children`s behaviour for all parents has been organized.
It will take place on Thursday,17 th June from 9.30- 10.30 and will be led by the Life Education Teacher, Jan Newman.
We will be working with our colleagues in Primary Schools to support good transitions for the children who are leaving us, as they move on to Reception Class. Teachers from different Primary Schools often visit the children at Nursery and visits to these schools by parents and children are also arranged to help prepare them for for these changes . We will endeavour to keep you informed of known arrangements and we would also be grateful if you could let staff here know of any planned visits that schools make with you.
To continue to support our work on looking at the community around us we’ve organized a visit to a Sikh temple (Gudwara) . A group of full time children will be able to look at the buildings and also find out a little bit about the different religious practices in our local community. Parents are welcome to join us.
We are organising a series of outdoor trips for the children to experience different places beyond the immediate locality. These include a walk and picnic along Bradford`s Greenway, visits to the park and places of interest. Parents will be informed of any planned visits for different groups of children.
