Dear Parents and Carers,
A big thank you to all those involved in our Day for Change. So far we’ve raised £370 which is amazing.
If you’ve collected sponsor money for the children doing the Food Carry trail please can you give it in at the office. Congratulations to the children they did so well at completing the trail.
Holiday Closure
Just to remind you the School and Centre closes for Spring Bank Holiday on Friday 22nd May.
The Children’s Centre including Childcare is open from Tuesday 26th May.
School opens on Monday June 1st 2009
Safety in the Car Park
Parents are requested to not block the main gates by parking in front of the gates. Please tell other family members who may collect children about our Safety in the Car Park policy.
It is not advisable to park in Bateman Street, as space is restricted. Bradford City have allowed us to use the Car Park on the other side of Thorncliffe Road where there is plenty of space to turn.
There are always parking spaces on Midland Road - a little bit further to walk but a good opportunity to teach your child about Road Safety.
Please be vigilant in the school yard and hold your child’s hand. There may be delivery vehicles on the premises.
Parents accessing Childcare may park in the grounds at the front of the school before 8.45 am and after 4pm. However for Safety reasons parking by parents is generally not allowed in the school grounds during the school day but please talk to staff if you or your family need closer access to the building.
Hope you’ve seen the new Child Car seat signs on the entrance gate to help you to remember to put your child in suitable and safe seats.
Child Safety Week
Is the week beginning June 22nd. Look out for special activities during this week.
Parent’s Forum
We’ve got a good group of parents who are coming to the Forum and who are helping to shape the way we run the School and Centre. The meetings are very informal and last for about an hour. Meeting dates are
22nd May 9.15 -11.00 am, 22nd June 1.15-2.15pm, 13th July 1.15 – 2.15 pm . Everyone welcome. See Rahima Ali our Parental Involvement Worker.
